My boss' brother has one of these with a broken bolt and we're trying to find a replacement.

If you start with that, I'm sure you could get supersonic loads to run without a problem, I doubt subs would be easy.

I also have no idea how those are actually built so that might be a hurdle...

There is a lot going on there to make it difficult, one of the main things is the short gas system, the main spring would have to be separate from the gas system making it big and ugly.

He may be correct, however the number of cycles that the bolts see is usually sub 100,000 so it is hard to say. - it depends on the stresses

C158 is some super hard stuff in the case but softer in...

The best way to do it is take a rifle gas tube, calculate the length you need(straight is approximately .025-.050" longer than it will be bent), chop it, turn it in a lathe, or you could try the file...

I'm sneaking up on the port size for him so he has a better chance at running supersonic rounds, last time we were out(first stab at the port diameter) it ran 75% lock back so I opened it .004". It...

Now that I think about it some more, It should be feasable with an adjustable block but it might be finicky. I mean think about how finicky 5.56 is through a 7.5" barrel.

I didn't have much to go off of with quick load but it looks like pressures will be at least 1.5x on a 125gr bullet traveling 1600fps out of a 7" barrel.

I have a bunch of 160gr bullets that...
