The .302 is simply the 7BR case necked up . . .
to .308. It's a better solution for single shots like the Encore, according to JD, and gives a little more powder capacity for supersonic.
I'm guessing it may be a LITTLE louder than the .300...

One big problem with the .338 . . .
is finding a variety of cans to keep it quiet. I ordered a .338 last week from SSK, only to call back a few days later and change it to a .302 (.308 on 7BR case), after researching suppressors.

Anyone with .302 Whisper experience?
Just ordered an Encore rifle (16.25" barrel length) from SSK, and bought a can. This is my first subsonic endeavor. Hope I made a good choice! Went with the .302 because of better supersonic...
