Any updates on this? Been trying to sort out my 300-221 gas piston project and haven't had the time to work on this yet. Still thinking about it though. It would be a hell of a good cartridge.

Fireball, What I would like to do is take my Rem long action in 300 Mag, pull the barrel, install a 50 cal, make cases from the WSM line, and have it all fit in a 5 round AICS 300WM magazine as far...

300-221 Barrels

I got my Broughton 1 in 8 5C twist from Tim North at North Manuf. From order date to delivery date was 3 weeks 4 days. We'll see how it shoots in a week or two.

I am working on a gas piston 300-221 right now with another manufacturer.
(Not an AR). Will post info and pics as soon as I have them. Installing a Broughton 5C 16 inch 1in8 barrel with 5 position...

The .308 subsonic loads with the faster burning pistol powder should be quieter. Working on some .308 loads with inserts machined out to take up case capacity. Will post results.
