3 supersonic loads tested today.
SSK 16.5" barrel
SSK reflex Suppressor 110 grn V-Max 18 grn IMR 4227 Rem 7 1/2 221 FB brass OAL 2.110" Avg 2018 fps Ex Sprd 35 SD 14 125 grn TNT 18 grn IMR 4227 Rem 7 1/2 221 FB brass OAL 2.134" Avg 1953 fps Ex Sprd 14 SD 7 3 shots recorded had to change printer paper. 110 grn Barnes Tac-X FB SBR 17.5 grn IMR 4227 Rem 7 1/2 OAL 2.155" roll crimp in bottom groove of bullet. Not much in case. Avg 1967 fps Ex Sprd 74 SD 27 V-Max and TNT shot fair, the Tac-X was a pattern. All 3 loads can be increased for velocity. |
for me . the most accurate 110 grn. weight I found to work was the. Sierra Varm. HP bullets . w/ Viht. N-110
they stacked tight in ragged hole @ 100 yrd the best for my testing. & for sure you can get more Vel. going for future hand-loads . but that all depends . all barrels are different . & there is an abundance of different powders that perform different for all to choose from . . |
Powder fouling...
that was left on the outside of barrel from shooting suppressed was more stubborn to remove than what was behind by V V N110 or Accurate 5744. When shooting 5744 there is unburned powder left behind. Haven't seen that with N110 or 4227. I've got some loads with Lil' gun to try next days off.
