Usmc Buck M9
|
Thanks for the link!
Looks like the blade and scabbard has seen some heavy use. I will pass on this one I think. Are they really that rare? How much does a good quality USMC-M9 go for these days? Best regards, Menno The Netherlands |
The 1991 USMC contract piece is actually pretty decent. Most are rougher than that. I have only ever seen one mint bayonet. It was brand new in the government shipping box, but the seller wanted something like $1,400.00 for it! These M9s are not really rare, but one has to look to find one. Because they were issued to the Marines, it increases both value & interest in this variation. Current value is between $150.00-$250.00 based on condition.

http://www.quarterbore.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1733 That one was an epic auction, that I think we all remember here: more than 2000 dollars for a bayonet worth no more than 300-400 (at that time). I can tell you that despite the production numbers (5000 units, if I remember correctly), I have always seen at least one available for sale every month. |
