Where can I get a .300 fireball/whisper barrel
 

I am looking fore some place to get a reasonably priced stainless heavy barrel (or moly that is blued) for a Savage short action rifle. Need it already threaded and ready to go. Length unimportant as long as it is over 18" as I can shorten and recrown...

Has to be chambered and 1X8 twist.

Can someone point me to someone that makes and can get me one in a "reasonable" amount of time.

I have done some looking and as of yet been unable to find anything.

I am very much interested in this… what I would ideally like, is to have a .223 Winchester model 70 action, with a 16” chrome-lined .300 whisper bull-barrel for my ThunderTrap suppressor. I am hoping have a folding choate-stock, or a take-down McMillan, AI, etc. And I want it to take AR mags and have a Horus-Vision reticle scope in a Leupold MK4, MR/T scope.

I would consider this to be the ‘perfect’ tactical bolt gun.

Don, If you can get your hands on a barrel I could thread and chamber it for you. I've got a couple of places to get barrels fairly quickly if need be...PM me if your interested.
