I finally got the Pelican cas I bought to ship out the second jig... darned if the jig isn't about 1/4 to 1/2-inch too long to fit. I will be cutting down the jig and getting the foam cut to ship out the second jig ASAP. Today is my wife's birthday and her birthday wish was for me NOT to spend all day doing web stuff or playing with the guns but instead helping get some stuff done around the house...

So tomorrow I hope to get that second jig ready to go out... The new case will work nice but too bad the size was just SO close!

I finally got to go try my newly built Romy AK-47. It goes bang and it is nice to shoot. I used the G2 double hook FCG and I love it. There is a long pull but no grit or drag and it just pulls through until the gun fires.

I have to admit I was prepared to be disappointed with this project but I love my new gun. I was surprised to see that the sights were pretty well on. Later I will fire some groups to zero it close as possible.

I just want to thank all of you for the great information I used to figure out how to do it. No one will call it a Barby Doll but I will love it as much as the first gun I ever owned at the age of 11 that I purchased with my own money earned over a Christmas break. It was a JC Higgins 22 and I still own it. Not too bad for a 60 something old guy. Maybe I will name it Betsy in honor of Davy Crockett. Remember the Alamo. :D
