Question about Xebec jig

Hello to all.

Can anyone tell me how the Xebec jig clamps on to the barrel to hold it (without slipping) while the trunnion is pressed over it?

I can't tell from looking at the photos.

Thanks to anybody who can enlighten me.

The barrel has a narrow portion that is cut down just after the gas block and under the handguard retainer... The barrel press simply uses this larger shoulder on the barrel to support the barrel when you press. It is a simple design but works very well.

You can see it in this photo:

Both of those are from this tutorial that I have not found the time to finish yet...

My question about the Xebec kit is:" WHY won't he answer emails so someone can order from him???" I WANT ONE!!! :bangin: :ak47: :D

Xebec is a full time graduate school student and he makes these in his spare time... I think he is getting busier with his classes so less time for "playing"...

Barrel installation

Hi, I was wondering how you make sure you have the barrel turned just right as you are pressing it into the trunion? Do you just eyeball it when you are pressing it in? Does anybody know what the interferance fit in on the barrel to the trunion? I was wondering if anybody has tried to heat the trunion and slide the barrel in by hand. Thanks Casey:sniper:
