What's with Delta/DeWalt/Black & Decker's inventory system? I have waited months for a drive belt for my Delta Midi Lathe and it's still backordered. Ditto Woodcraft, Klingspor's Woodworking etc. There doesn't seem to be
a belt anywhere. I went on to eBay and search for a used one. Found a fellow parting out his Delta Midi-lather because he couldn't get a motor. It had been back ordered as well. Seems to be keeping critical parts would be
a priority for a major player in the tool business. However, when I contacted
Delta/Dewalt they didn't seem too concerned about it. I will definitely keep this in mind when I next go tool shopping.

The next day....

After raising just a fuss, of all things the long delayed belts showed up today ( I prudently ordered 2 ) and would you believe they are totally different than the old one? I tried one and it seems to work OK, so maybe they were changing suppliers? At least now I can play with all
the new " goodies" I have been gathering. Hooboy! High dollar sawdust coming right up!
