What price should I ask for my .300 BLK upper?
I have decided due to economic reasons to sell one of my .300 BLK uppers. The barrel was chambered/reamed by TP555 to .300 BLK recently, has maybe 100 rounds through it. 16", 1:8 twist, has 1/2x36 threaded muzzle with a threaded muzzle protector (I had a suppressor threaded that way which is why I had it threaded this way). Pistol length gas tube, TP555 High, Low, and Off gas block, YHM Carbine length Diamond free float handguard with a cut to allow access to the adjustable gas block screw. Flatp top upper, with bolt carrier group. Has Badger Ord Tactical charging handle lever as well.
So, what should I expect to get for this upper? I honestly have no idea as to what price to ask. |
Why the 1/2-36 threads?
isn't the standard 1/2-28 or 5/8-24? |
new dealer prices are around this
barrel, 200 ish handguard 90 upper 90 bcg 115 block 75 handle 45 Around $615 new "parts wise" and since its used and one would most likeley have to get it re threaded and cut back it would only serve someone who has a sbr. I would say probally $450 shipped would be max most would pay. |

Reason for the odd threading
Originaly most of the poeple making 300 WTF uppers didn't want anyone threading a 5.56 flash hider or other 5.56 item on by mistake .. I know my
M1S 300 WTF has the 1/2-36 threads. |
I have adapters that go from 1/2-36 to 5/8-24 for $25. They are parkerized, have wrench flats, and increase length by less than a quarter or an inch.
Not trying to sound like a salesman, just letting you know there is a solution available.... |
