New guy 1st post.Can anyone tell me how many grains of water the 300 whisper will hold.I just wanted to compare it to another case.

I'm new here also so unfortunately don't have your answer, but I know it would depend upon how you made you 300 whisper cases. If made from .221 fireball brass necked up it will differ from Military 5.56 shortened and necked down. ;)

Which way are you going to be making your 300 Whisper brass? :confused:

Oh, and according to John Donnelly's Cartridge conversion book the
221 fireball has 21.34 grains of water for case capacity if that helps.

I don't have a whisper but I have been working on building a sort of a wildcat.Its been done before i think I'm necking down a 357 Maximum case to .308 the case capacity might be close to whisper.
