Paladin Machine gasblock screwdriver idea w/pics

I've been taking a screwdriver to the range with me, but it's a pain when I get all set up in the prone position and realize I don't have the screwdriver in reach to switch from super/sub etc. Also, I want one on the gun so that when I'm out hunting, I don't have to remember to take a screwdriver along. So I made one to fit on the rifle. I made the basic L shape with a grinder and spent an hour with a file finishing it. It fits inside my MOE grip compartment along with the paperwork for my SBR and silencer. I'm happy with it. Anybody done something similar?

I have all my Hex Wrenches for my optics & mounts in mine... Good idea on the paperwork! I put mine in a tiny plastic ziplock so they won't rattle and to prevent them from getting wet & rusty.

I am pretty sure that TP555 (Paladin) makes a manually turning adjustment switch on the gas block that won't require a screw driver. You might give him a shout.

If you have the skills, making a picatinny quick detach screwdriver might be a cool idea too.

The gasblock that doesn't require a screwdriver isn't made to fit under the handguards, otherwise I probably would have got one. I thought about the quick detach thing, and looked for one pre-made, but didn't find anything. I don't have the tools to make one. It would be pretty sweet though.

I was thinking about making a new lever type head that I could turn by hand but the more I thought about it, I couldnt see me changing it that offen enough to warrant one. Then I was thinking that instead of being a flat head screw driver, maybe it should be made for a hex head allen wrench (one with a ball end) That way I would'nt have to cut my forend tube..... Im still debating the issue.
