Yeah, I've already seen that but he is making 300/221 brass. I know they are both very similar to each other, but they are different.

Not sure what dies Hoser is using, but from what I've read here the differences in chambers are inconsequential, as are the differences in the dimensions in the dies by the major die manufacturers. I understand that my Redding dies, in particular produce cases usable in a .300 whatever-ya-call-it chamber.

I understand that they are very close to the same, but some manufacturers are offering a re-chambering from 300/221, 300 whisper ect. to 300 blackout. That means that metal is being removed from the old chamber, therefore the 300 blackout cartridge is bigger (somewhere) and should not fit in a 300/221 ect. chamber, but a 300 whisper should fit in a 300 blackout chamber...............At least that's what I'm thinking. I guess I should research reloading dies and see which set is cheaper, then get a barrel to go with my dies.

There are several threads on this topic. My understanding is that any (if any) difference is in the throats, beyond the dimensions of the case itself. I don't think it matters.

Hoser's brass works in both chambers just fine.

I have made 30-40K pcs of 300 BLK and 300 Whisper brass since the 300 BLK hit the street. No complaints yet. Well actually thats not true...

I turned 1,000 pcs of brass into 300 BLK for a shooter in NM. He tried to load it using a bad batch of Forester dies. Not his fault and not mine really. But it was a complaint so I want to be completely upfront and honest about that.

The main difference if the throat, not the chamber itself.

300 Whisper/Hush/300-221/WTF and 300 BLACKOUT go and no-go gauges are the same.

Not to mention Hoser sells and makes the best brass out there. Very happy with his product.

At this point, I think the accepted term is 300 Whatever:grin:
