Remington brass - now taking orders.
Dealers, distributors, and ammo makers who want bulk primed Remington 300 AAC BLACKOUT brass - you can place an order from Mike Mers <mers at advanced-armament.com>. If you are a retail customer, you can buy it from AAC or wait until MidwayUSA or other dealers list it. Sold in units of 2000 pieces only. This is primed and sealed. Ask Mike for pricing. I am not sure of MSRP.

You're right. I should have looked again before I put my foot in my mouth.
|
A bunch of people did warn me "Don't do primed brass - people want to use their own favorite brand of primer."
That is just nuts. I think that mostly applies to people not wanting to pay a lot more for primed brass. But if you sell it for a price people see as reasonable, then it should be ok. Besides, now when people develop a load for it, they will have to buy Remington primers to reload them :nanabang: |
The thought of never having to make brass on the drill press makes me smile. I see an order of 500 in my near future.
|
Since they wont be out in 100 packs for a while, dealers can buy and re-distribute smaller quantities on their own.
|
Price is - $540 MSRP per 2000 pack. Dealers perhaps buy some and split it up and sell it 500 pieces at a time.

Sorry if this has been asked, but I didn't see it anywhere......
What is stamped on the head? 300 AAC, 300 WTF EVER, etc.... Any pictures of the brass? I know, I've seen brass before, but pictures are always nice. :) Not that it matters too much, but just asking. Thanks, Eric |

So who are the distributors that are selling this brass?
|
I am not sure. Probably Midway.
|
Wouldn't Midway be a retailer and not a distributor?
|
True but I figured you were looking for a way to get it sooner. AcuSport is a distributor but I don't think they are getting any of this - this batch is too small to supply them.
|
Is this brass being made in Lonoke, Ar.?
|
Yes.

I'm happy to see brass availabe for the 300BLK Rem 700 barrel I bought.
Mr Silvers, could you give us an update on what companies currently offer 300 BLK reloading dies. The Forster dies are the only ones I found with a web search. Are they "officially" approved to match AAC chambers? Are there other manufacturers of 300 BLK dies which are made to approved specifications? I have an old Redding 300/221 set which I've used for 300 Whisper (T/C version) and 300 Fireball (M1S version) with acceptable results. Do you consider that die set acceptable for 300BLK too. If not what would you recommend for handloading the 300BLK Rem brass for use in 300BLK AAC 700 Rem barrels? |
The Redding 300-221 I have makes in-spec 300 AAC BLACKOUT brass. So it is likely yours does also.
Forster and Lee are the only ones correctly marked (Midway will have the Lee). Hornady 300 Whisper(R) dies from SSK Industries make in-spec brass - at least the set I have does. My impression of them is - I am not sure which have the least runout but the Forster make brass closer to max size which will make the brass last longer and has the potential to be more accurate and is probably the best choice for bolt guns. My Redding makes brass more in the center of the spec - which is like Remington factory brass which fits my philosophy for ARs. |
I have a Forster 300Blk sizer and a Redding seater. Should have 600 rounds of brass from Hoser about this time next week......
Bullets I got so far are Barnes 130gr TTSX, and Hornady 150 &165 softpoints. Picked up a pound of H110 Saturday and some primers..... Guns ready and bore sighted.........:nanabang: I can almost smell the gun smoke... Making a list of possible loads for what I got in the meantime:cool: |
