SSK 300 Whisper Suppressor

Hi Guys,

Just bought a used SSK industries 300 whisper AR upper with 16" heavy barrel. Also got the SSK suppressor for it. I have only had time to put a few rounds through it but am very happy so far.

The SSK suppressor slides over the barrel and screws on about half way down the barrel. I believe this is called a reflex type.

So my question is what other firearms can I use this SSK suppressor on and what is the best way to attach it?

I'm not sure what other calibers smaller than .308 would be safe unless
subsonic ammo is used.
Is the can all steel or aluminum ?
If used on another gun the barrel would need to be profiled the same
as your 300 upper barrel.

You probably need to call SSK. If he is in a sorry mood just call back later. The only one I have seen from SSK is made of stainless. Was good for anything from 308 down. Heavy, but real quiet..And yes, other barrels need to be contoured the same! Reflex is a good style. Two points of contact for stability. WARNING!!! If you are going to work up loads - remove suppressor until desired velocity is reached. The inside of a suppressor has to be seen to be believed when a slow, long bullet bullet comes out and starts to yaw...

SSK defiantly makes a good heavy duty suppressor but I would not shoot anything else out of it until you check with them.
