OK fellas ...

you successfully answered the hijack question ... now how about back to the OP's (me) question: Is it going to be safe to shoot factory 220 gr subsonic 300 BLK ammo in a 16" rifle fitted with a pistol position 3 way gas block?

Thanks!

Mike

I am waiting to test it but I cant get ammo. I was to late for the Midway shipment. I am betting you will need to set the gas block to the smaller (supersonic) hole. The subsonic setting will over gas the system.

The only issues are over pressure. The Subsonic loads won't have mega pressure.Even the high speed loads won't.So no problem.Consider the clogged barrels with 5 or 6 stuck bullets in them.

What magazine is that? I have my fingers crossed that it is the modified mag that lets you load long. I've been using modified Pmags but it would be fantastic to be able to just order them without the rib. I'm still hoping to see some info on that project.

rsilvers 12-17-2010 04:35 PM

That is an E-Mag, it is a Magpul mag designed for the HK-416.

Any word on the custom mags for loading long?
