Should I sell 184 & 185 in the same auction?
I was going through some boxes to see what I could sell to help cover the cost of a new back country touring bicycle, and I came across two knives I purchased from either Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop. I was just about ready to put them on the local craigslist and thought I should check the web and eBay for valuation ideas. I had a pleasant surprise! Now I plan to run an auction on eBay.
I am the original owner of a BUCK 184 USA PAT PEND (Buckmaster Survival Knife) and a BUCK 185< U.S.A. PAT PEND (Buckmaster Lite) that I purchased as a set over 20 years ago. Would both knives be more valuable as a set, or should I list the Buckmaster Lite in its own auction? I will probably start with a low minimum bid, i.e. $25 to get a lot of interest in my auction. Any idea what price range I could expect for each knife? Assume great shape, but no original boxes. Both have sheaths. The 184 has a compass and sharpening stone. I am a good photographer and plan to use my macro lens to highlight their condition. Both knives are in great shape and have had little or no use. I plan to sell in the CONUS only and ship flat rate. Are there any rules about shipping and selling knifes? Over 18, state or federal laws, etc. |
I did not receive any responses, so I listed each knife on eBay.
They are not combined into one package deal. Any suggestions how to improve the listing? Minimum bid on each knife is $24.99. |
