Barrel for 300 Whisper

I think I will get a Douglas 1/8 Premium Air Guage barrel. Any ideas on best barrel length for a bolt gun. I was thinking in the 20 inch range.

It comes down to use - will you want to get the best response from subsonic loads. If you want to shoot 240s then think 16 inches (or shorter).

I started at 21.5 inches and have cut back to 16.5 and it is a better bolt rifle for the change.

My bolt gun is a 16.5 Lilja 8 twist.

With the SF can and Sierra 220s it is very quiet.
