From the amount of bayonets Signalsoldier is seeing come through your possesion you are probably one of the most knowledgeable people out there. Anything you share here would be greatly appreciated. I have very little knowledge and would love to hear what you are seeing come through, trends of which ones are more abundant etc. I see the M9 as being very collectable in the future. Im a beginner, but looking at WWII and vietnam production numbers of bayonets, the M9 is minimal compared to those numbers? Please correct me if im wrong about that.

Three line GL

I have very little luck with top quality gen 3's from GL. Have found some very nice Gen 2's though. Any Gen 4's seem to be few and far between...could be timing as we have no documentation on production numbers. Gen 4 variation with "U centered over T" is the most difficult to find. From the last 150 Gen 4's I have owned in the last six months I have had only two U/T (one pretty worn - other about 90%). Spent the weekend of June 17th in Willimington OH at military show...four M9's, two M7's and two M6's to choose from. Nothing special and nothing to brag about. Homer had a Gen 4 with a tag "1st Model M9". Not sure how that fits but thought it was a gen 1 chevron; but no luck. Semper Fi, NumberOneGi
