The terms on the rental agreement are quite flimsy, on one hand Cheapskate never possessed the jig, but on the other he did pay to rent it. Quarterbore did say that it would only be 50 cents per flat bent over 5 at a jig party, does this not apply if someone who paid to rent the jig next shows up?

If I paid to rent a car for the weekend but found out my buddy allready rented a car from the same place and lets me use it, I would definately want my money back from the car rental place because I never took possession of the car... there was no rental.

Quarterbore, I believe you are getting confused about the fact that you made a sale, but the customer found out how to accoplish his goals in a different way. I don't see any 'rental' to Cheapskate, I just see him attending a build party. You should give him his cash back, and take down that "Lying Scumbag" note... you might have acted to hastily.

BTW - I don't need to rent your jig anymore, I have purchased one of mine own so I'm good. Still want to say 'Thanks' for offering your tools for everyone to use though, too bad you have to stop.

If he had communicated that they were doing a party and let me know what was happening I would have been fine with that... To not say a thing that you were dealing with the person before them and then use the tools and then reply that they want a refund as they don't need my tools and the imply that they have no idea where my tools are...

Well, it's a moot point now but I am a long way from backing down on this one... I removed you from the list and other then the problems with the first rotation where someone pressed the living piss out of my jig (way to much force) and this last idiot most of the transactions went fine... I do wish people were better about letting me know when they got the jig, when they were done, and when they ship with tracking info but that was a challange for a few...

I just don't have the time for this given the trivial amount of money we are talking about and I learned enough to keep me from renting out any of my other tools in the future. It really is that simple...

Riveting Jigs

QB

Having a build party Aug 27th in Quakertown, about 20 miles north of you.

My riveting jigs will not make it on time. Also could use extra flat jig and press. I too am concerned people will not treat my pricey tools correctly, but I will be here to supervise. Anyone who does not like it is free to leave.

Please PM or send e-mail to tgeruntho@comcast.net, am willing to pay rent for the tools.

thanks

Thomas

I must disagree with you. When a person makes an offer to rent the Jig at $20 and then finds a way to borrow the exact jig , he must still pay because he had a gentlemans agreement with the owner of the Jig.

I am not sure how the individual was confused that the jig was being purchased. I never gleamed that fom the owners comments.

The proper thing to do was tell the whole truth, leaving out crucial info is damb close to lying and in some official circles is as good as lying.

mt 2cents.
