Quartbore, sorry I did not get your e-mail. |
Regarding Cheapskate...
OK, so I supplied his name and address to the person before him that had the jig... They talk and decide to get together... you use MY JIG and TOOLS and then you have the guts to e-mail me demanding a refund.... I e-mailed you asking what gives as I thought you should have the jig and you indicated that you don't have my tools... refund your payment NOW... Now, I hear you had used my tools to bend your flats... You did multiple flats and you are still demanding a refund for the use of MY TOOLS? Here is the contact info of this assclown: AKA Cheapskate Patrick Smith XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Litchfield Park, AZ 85340 United States Following are the e-mails: Quote:
I got a Instant message Here on the forums on Mondy July 18th... I didn't save the PM and it seems to be lost but it said essentially I want a REFUND OF MY PAYPAL PAYMENT... So, I sent an E-mail as below... not the reply above my original e-mail... Quote:

The Jigs Are No Longer Available For Rent After Those That Signed Up Are Done....
|
$20 rental fee paid on 06/17/2005 via Paypal.
On 07/05 I was informed that the rental item (the jig) would be shipped. After two weeks and no jig, I contacted the person who had it and worked out a separate arrangement where I would come to his house and use the jig, and then we would simply ship it on to the next person on the rental list. I went to fourays house and bent up three flats. I had agreed to his proposal of $6.66 in a simple three way split of his rental expenses, since he and another friend had used the jig to press up several flats too. I also agreed to ship the jig to the next guy on the list. I had put a $20 bill on Alex’s workbench to kick in for what I figured to be WELL MORE THAN MY SHARE and was wiping down the jig to pack it up when fourays wife came out into the garage to offer some water (it was a very hot Phoenix afternoon). When she saw the money she immediately said I did not need to pay. She further told me that fourays had planned on purchasing the jig. At that point, I offered the $20 to her to give to Alex for letting me use his press and being so accommodating. She declined that offer too, and said to consider it a favor, that one day he might need one from me. I thought that was really cool and stopped trying to give her the money. I did not take possession of the jig as planned, not because I just left it to stiff Alex for the shipping, but because I was under the direct impression that the jig was spoken for as a direct result of our conversation. Considering my deal was with fourays and that I thought he was buying the jig outright, I posted that I wanted off the list and a refund. My thought was that this would free the second jig up for the next guy in line while Quarterbore had another jig made up to replace the one I THOUGHT WAS SOLD. Why in the hell would I want to rent the replacement jig when I’d already used the one I was supposed to be renting but was now (I thought) SOLD???!!! The next thing I know is Quarterbore’s insisting that I wait for my refund until he can figure out where his jig is. I would certainly not discuss or commit to the purchase of the jig on Alex’s behalf and had no desire to become involved in whatever was going on between them, so I simply stuck to THE TRUTH. I told Ken that I did not have his jig and that I did not want to rent it anymore. I still do not see how that is in any way inappropriate. I’ve got nothing to hide and have not lied once to you Ken. Not once. You’ve now posted my name and address on this website, along with some bullshit comments including "LYING SCUMBAG", "ASSCLOWN" and "IDIOT". I think that you over-reacted and posted this BS before knowing the whole story. Out of respect for you, I sincerely hope that is the case. If I owe you an apology please consider it rendered. I leave your next comments to your own sense of justice and integrity. It's been true enough in the past, I'll respect your response to do the right thing on that merit alone. Respectfully, Cheapskate :bangin: |
Either way, you lied to me... You are not welcome here... I will remove your contact info above but beyond that I do not owe you a thing... anybody is welcome to draw their own oppinions based on what I posted above...
Banned Again! Bye Bye! |

Ok! Thanks!
I'll pm you. JohnnyJT ;) South Philly T.O. where are you? |
Wow, this sounds like a really big miscommunication!!! I thought I read that it was only 50 cents per flat if you rented the jig for a build party? If Cheapskate was never mailed the jig and never took possesion of it, it sounds as if he simply attended a build party. The terms on the rental agreement are quite flimsy, on one hand Cheapskate never possessed the jig, but on the other he did pay to rent it. Quarterbore did say that it would only be 50 cents per flat bent over 5 at a jig party, does this not apply if someone who paid to rent the jig next shows up?
If I paid to rent a car for the weekend but found out my buddy allready rented a car from the same place and lets me use it, I would definately want my money back from the car rental place because I never took possession of the car... there was no rental. Quarterbore, I believe you are getting confused about the fact that you made a sale, but the customer found out how to accoplish his goals in a different way. I don't see any 'rental' to Cheapskate, I just see him attending a build party. You should give him his cash back, and take down that "Lying Scumbag" note... you might have acted to hastily. BTW - I don't need to rent your jig anymore, I have purchased one of mine own so I'm good. Still want to say 'Thanks' for offering your tools for everyone to use though, too bad you have to stop. |
