Turning brass

Hi all,

I am just getting back into using a manual lathe. It has been a long 22 years. So my question is, Can I use carbide to turn brass or will it cause chattering? Do I need to use a rounded edge cutter or a Point? My memory has failed me. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank,
Joe
