Adjustable gas block or tube

I have a 300 whisper project I am trying to finish.

I need either an adjustable low profile .936 gas block (to fit under a Yankee Hill free float hand guard) or adjustable pistol length gas tube.

Where to look?

JP makes a .936" block, but it will not fit under the handguard. With a .936" barrel there is just not much room under the handguard.

JP Gas blocks

You might be better off cutting down a carbine adjustable gas tube.
MartyTW at http://www.teppojutsu.com/ might be able to help you out.

I think you are going to have to get something made either way. I shortened an adjustable carbine gas tube down for my first pistol by cutting and regrinding the bell on the end. I also have some custom blocks just no bull ones. A bull block will fit under a ff tube but may not be enough room to get an adjustment screw in there. The JP looks like it may fit if the rail is removed but no way to tell without actually measuring one.

I have some of the PRI .936" Lo-Pro blocks.
Make sure they are the correct ID. One out of the first 4 was .943"
They have an open ended gas tube hole.
If you have the means you could cut the block off your gas tube a little ways in front of the hole, tap the front end of the gas block hole, and make a piloted set screw that would fit inside the gas tube to adjust your gas.
Sounds simple right:nanabang:
Gettin at it from the front might be tough depending on your setup.
