Ain't got it running at 100%...yet. having some FTF issues, may be the ammo. I'm gonna clean it up and try again later and try some different stuff.

I have a really similar project in the works but am having terrible trouble getting it to run. Near as we can figure the problem is carrier bounce. The carrier ends up sitting a bit back and soaks up a lot of energy when hit by the hammer. This results in light primer hits and a lot of "click" when it should go "boom"

The extra short buffer tube means the system runs without a buffer and thus without the buffer's anti bounce weights.

Anyone got any suggestions to solve this issue?

I would look towards a bolt carrier weight or make one with sliding weights like a buffer.
