Armalite AR-10 not chambering properly
 

My armalite ar-10 will not chamber the next round in the magazine after I fire the first round. The bolt completely goes right over the bullet in the magazine. I am using 168 grain bullets of different brands...so it isn't the bullets. Could it be the mags?

If the bolt is cycling I would think it is either the magazines, or it could be short stroking and not going back far enough to catch the next round.

Put one round in the mag, chamber it, then shoot it and see if the bolt holds open, if it does it probably cycles enough and something else is up. is hard to say without a better description and/or pictures.

Try holding your hand under the mag and push up slightly and fire a round. Have had some name brand mags that hung down too low for the bolt to pick up the next round....
