When I first started I read somewhere that it was easy to oversize the whisper for TC. Whether that was the problem I was having or a weak spring... Started seating to touch the lands. Acc improved on everything I put in her! I have a 7 mag that likes them just short of that...A 454 cau shooting a 300 Hor. backwards sub. that shoots better touching....I think every gun has its own personality...Try different depths and see which one yours likes...Can't speak for the AR"s....
