What do I really have here?

Well, I know it is a M7 bayonet with a M8A1 scabbard. The scabbard is marked "made in Germany" as well as the blade. However, the blade also has the 'Colt' logo.

Any help would be great.

Is the scabbard green or black? Is the Colt logo the rampant colt or the large "C"? Are there any marks on the face of the cross guard?

The scabbard is black, the logo is the large "C" and 'USM7' on the cross guard.

You have a standard Eickhorn manufactured Colt M7 bayonet. These came out maybe five years ago and were available from many sources in the $50 range.
