I particually like the look of the Marto & and the British entry, if anything like the normal sa80 no match for the M9 for build quality

Royal Ordnance actually had two designs for the XM9. The first, as shown on the left in the photo, is basically identical to the British SA80. It order for this bayonet to work on the M16 the flash hider has to be either changed or modified. The SA80 indexes on the rifle by locking into a small groove milled into the bottom of the flash hider. Without this groove the bayonet will just spin on the barrel. Royal Ordnance realized that the chances of the US Army changing the flash hiders on all of the M16s in service was slim to none, so they came up with an alternate design. The new design has a conventional muzzle ring and pommel with a mortise slot. This bayonet is shown on the right in the picture.

I had a bunch of photos that had accidentially been placed in a private folder and other members were not able to see them. I figured out how to move them and switched them all from the private folder into the members folder. An impressive assortment of rare bayonets. The D-guard on the Marto bayonet is very interesting, as is the seemingly short length of the S-Tron bayonet. What blade profiles do these unusual two bayonets have? I have never even heard of the company S-Tron before, and was unable to find images of the Marto bayonet.

Are the Imperial bayonets similar to the Eickhorn M-7 wirecutter variant?

When I was responding to the question about the Eickhorn XM9 and then reworking the photo links I was thinking that I should have included a picture of the blades. I'll put that on my list of things to do.
