I recycle my synthethic car oil and use it for my machines, lathes and mills.Haven't had any problems for years.

Vactra

Vactra 4 is used on the ways, use it don't scrimp. it is a VERY high viscosity oil with clinging properties and works the best. It is still currently manufactured by Mobil and is available in 1 gallon bottles from MSC direct.

Spindle oil goes in the upper cup to lube the Quill.
