Gas blocks for ar15,3 position, pt2

1 Attachment(s)
Redesigned the gas blocks. Now closed position is totally closed.Other positions are lo and high pressure.Requires cutting about 15/16" off the back of the gas tube.New is a on-off block with the button. This was requested by law and military. They want a simple open or closed solution.I call this block the milspec.
Shown are stainless steel and the very first prototypes.

I am very Happy with your gas blocks Buy with confidence!

I received them in a timely manner good fit and finish excellent price.

I had to modify one a bit for my own special purpose situation but for a normal carbine length tube it would not have had to be done. (I ordered 2 and the carbine install went without a hitch) The mod i made was to bend and shorten the pin that is used to select the gas port so that it would clear the free float tube with this mod i also had to mill a slot in my free float tube. I am a machinist so no big deal.

I am very happy with the gas block especially for the price especially as this is a niche part.

Thanks for building a quality part at a great price

tp555 I got the 3 pos gas block and have to say nice job on the fitting of the valve. I was concerned about how much leakage there would be but seems there is very little and off is definitely off. I have to decide which of two barrels I am going to use it on. Thanks again.

Thanks.I used a reamer for the cut.The SS blocks had .001" more clearance then the carbon steel ones. I made 5 blocks in this batch.

I dont know if this is the place to post this but. This is a perfect piece. When he says .750....he means .750 not .751 but .750. I had to turn .005 off my barrel to make it work, I assumed these would fit like half of the other AR parts out there....sloppy. I was wrong. Great machining, fast service perfect product. I have been waiting for something better than the JP block and this is it. I can shoot my 220's sub, flip the knob and shoot my 125's supersonic and still retain the 1/2 inch groups at 100 yrds!!

(might half to order a spare knob to play with)

I need one of these for a Noveske 10.5"

I would like one of these to fit a Noveske 10.5, the style that you use a wrench through the hand guard to adjust it. I bet Noveske is shipping alot of these barrels right now so it would be worth making a run to fit them!

Gas Block question

tp
I'm having a guy build a upper for me without a gass block. If I got one of yours, does this mean I could switch back and forth from single shot to semiauto ? ( I'm new to this )

Thanks One shot

Yes.The MILSPEC gas block is on or off.

TP, is the ss milspec available and how much is it? Also the 3 position ss with the handle. Was planning on putting it on a PacNor 10.5", ss, 1/6.5", 3 land bbl. Any advantages or disadvantages to pistol or carbine length gas tubes w/ either?
Thanx.

tp555 05-14-2008 07:32 AM

I make them.It is $60 includes shipping for either.Gas blocks don't have anything to do with their location, pistol or carbine. They control gas flow or pressure level. The 3 position does high, low or off.
