m9 sharping stone
 
i am new here and to m9 collecting.how is the best way to get the old stone off so you can put a new one on?thanks,BILLY

I see that this is an old post but if anyone else has this same problem, try this. The stone is held on by a small amount of silicone sealant. I took the entire sheath and placed it in a pan of water. I put it on the stove and boiled it until the stone loosened up and could be worked out of the recess. Be careful when prying the stone off as they are quite fragile, also do not cool with cold water. This does not harm the scabbard. cdw
