Who makes these bullets? They will expand at 300 Whisper velocities?

sniperx 05-06-2007 12:32 PM

Yes, they do better than anything else out there that I have found.
I do not think he is making them for production yet. (Wildcat Bullets).
He is going to try a serrated jacket first. More to come.

count me in the 255 RBBT HP's if they ever go into production... a couple thousand would be good food for my whispers

Sorry but I must have missed the continuation of this thread. I had reported my results to Bulletsmith but did not here from him afterwards. Bottom line is a 1:8 will not stabilize them and expansion was less than we had hoped for at subsonic velocities. He may be continuing work on them but I do not know. You are really up against it to get one to open up at that slow of a speed and I have been trying for some time. Opening up the nose to 80% will start expansion but it has such poor long range performance that is isn't any better than a pistol caliber. He had some good ideas and perhaps is trying them out himself before sending out any more bullets.

FYI Wildcat Bullets has been sold. New production will begin mid 09. And they will continue work on bullets for the 300 W.
