Gentlemen, Having a new Whisper made on a Rem XR-100 action with a Lilja barrel and smith asked how long I wanted the chamber. I thought a bit of freebore was desirable but he did not agree.
Before I give him the go ahead to use his discretion, anyone out there with a number or do I just go with JDJ's set up measurments that they use on their 300 Whispers?

Gary, I just recently did an XP pistol in 30 whisper, its in the pix section. The reamer I use from PTG shoots everything I've fed it to date , really well. When you consider how short a 125 grain bullet is and how long a 240 grain bullet is ...thats a fairly amazing statement ......if distance from the lands has anything to do with accuracy.
