Sheldon lathe manual

Which lathe is your manual for? I have just aquired an older style sheldon lathe. I believe it to be a twelve inch from the late thirties but im not sure. My lathe has a plate on the screwcutting gear box saying that it was commissioned by the war department. I will be posting some picturers soon, but does anyone have more info on this piece of equipment?

I have a lathe

I just acquired a "Sheldon Machine Co. Inc.; Quick Change Gear Lathe" from my fathers estate. There is no manual with it and I would love to get a copy of one. Is the manual you have for a specific model or for all models? The data plate on mine shows a Cat# of "S.E.W.Q.M." and a size of "43 inch 3/4"

Thanks.

Ken

The manual is more of a catalog then a real manual of sorts. I hav enot had the time to work it ontl my lathe resource CD but if you want a copy I sell them for $25.50 shipped.

There is a ton of info on the CD (I may need to move to 2-CDs to get the Shelton manuals on there.

I have far more on the CD then is listed...

There is an orderform on that page or you can pay via Paypal. Just make sure you include a note that you also what the Shelton manuals as I have not had the time to create a new master with these new manuals to get CDs duplicated.
