Bayonet positioned beside interchangeable parts. Threaded brass pommel includes U.S. Patent 4,520,566. Both crossguards are 1/4" brass.
For the Gentlemen of Quarterbore: Please be advised the original prototype for this bayonet was crafted by George Curtis Davis (father), who helped earn four Presidential Unit Citations for the bloodiest combat your mind can conceive, as per the battlefields of Korea (U.S. Army 24th Infantry, 21st Regiment, 3rd battalion---July 5, 1950-October 1951). And otherwise, even as this bayonet was crafted by my own hands, the bloody footprints in the snow, as per Washington's troops at Valley Forge, were, and remain, ever present in my thoughts.
