Last week a reproduction Armalite M7 showed up on ebay. The seller clearly identifies it as a reproduction. There is another one listed this week. I want to bring these to everyone's attention so you are aware of these being made and don't run into a problem in the future when unscrupulous people get their hands on these and with a little tweaking make a piece that could fool you. The markings are engraved and differ in appearance from the originally stamped markings. The original markings are shown on the top blade (courtesy of Shawn Gibson) and the reproduction on the bottom blade.

I too saw these two Armalite reproductions. Here's a quicker way to make sure you are not fooled by the reproduction.
Look at the cross guard. The Real Armalite M7 uses a WWII style cross guard. The repro is simply a regular M7 cross guard.
The cross guard on the right is the Imperial/Colt M7. This photo comes from William Humes' website.
