MP40 stock for 10/22, please help.

Yesterday I drew up a template for an MP40 style stock that could fit on a 10/22. It would use an AK pistol grip and under folder stock. I would leave the barrel free floating so that It would resemble the MP40.

I transferred the template to a sheet of 16 gauge steel and cut it out. But when I tried to bend it on a Metal break I kept getting rounded edges. Does any one have any ideas of how I can get strait bends on this thing?

I could draw up another template and post it if you want me too.

Lastly, in the Book "10/22 exotic weapon system" they show metal 10/22 magazines that look like modified M16 .22cal conversion magazines. Does any one know where to get those?

Look at how some of the ak blanks are bent without the fancy jigs. They sandwich the steel between two pieces of angle and bend them by pushing it over witha block and a hammer. It gives surprisingly good bends.
