View Full Version : 25-06AI Data Required
Hi Guys, I am looking for reloading data on the 25-06Ackley Improved cartridge. Any data or places to look would be most welcome. Bullet weights from 85 to 120 grain would be of interest.

For the most part you can use max loads for the 25-06 as your starting loads. Then work your way up from there. Some where between 2.5% and 5% over the standard load will be your maximum load for your AI- One word of caution- when you AI load starts exceeding the standard load by somewhere in the 100-200fps range you have reached the MAX load- do not, and I repeat do not depend on "conventional" pressure signs with the AI case- by the time the AI case starts showing pressure signs you are way beyond safe pressures for the case.

"by the time the AI case starts showing pressure signs you are way beyond safe pressures for the case".
How did you come to this conclusion the primers are still the same and will flaten or crator the same as with any other cailber and the brass will still streach with the same pressure no mater what caliber it is?
the strength of the primers and the brass don't change!
Kiwi don't pass up the 87 grain bullets at 3920 FPS you will love it I did for over 25 years before the throat went south.
