Are you encountering any resistance toward the end of the stroke? I know with 240 SMK's, there is literally no case capacity left with some of the loads I've used. I've even slightly compressed the powder before. It's possible you are bottoming out and the new Hornady's have really thin jackets. I don't have any experience with any of their new HPBT bullets, but have never had a problem with the 208 A-max.

Yes, I am having resistance at the end of the stroke and I considered that too. I loaded some of these a couple weeks ago with the same set-up with slightly more AA1680 than I'm using now with no issues. That would make sense though. I'm loading 10.3 grains of 1680 today and was loading closer to 11 the last time, with no problems then. (Redding 300-221 dies.)

oal is 2.190", same as last time to fit my AR mags. It must be the compressed load. I pulled some of the bullets and the powder stayed in the case, basically compressed and formed to the case; it would not pour out.

Your OAL is short. I shoot 8.6 gr of VV N110 with the 225s and a OAL of 2.266. NO mag problems
