aametalmaster has offered his help with running the metal lathe and milling machine forums on the website. I will allow him to introduce himself but I am not a machinist by any means or measure (funny how I have the tools but so little time to learn to use them) so I am glad to have a machinist to help run these forums.
I am trying to start rebuilding LatheTalk.com (http://www.lathetalk.com) and the new LatheTalk.com will draw information from these forums (quarterbore.net) until we can get enough activity at LatheTalk.com (this area of Quarterbore.net) again to warent me spending a couple hundred bucks and buying another license for this software.
The free forum software we were using at LatheTalk.com worked fine but this forum software package we use here is much more secure and provides better tools to lock out problem visitors or members.
I have been really busy trying to move all of my various websites to a new host and server and it always seems that there are problems that need to be fixed. By moving more and more of these small forums to this package it will give us more members and discussions plus it makes it easier for me to keep one big forum running as opposed to a dozen small ones!
So, thanks again to aametalmaster for the help and I hope that we can get the LatheTalk.com forums going again here at Quarterbore.net.
