Bought 4 boxes of the 110 V-Max when I was down in Montana and ran two of them thru my .300 Blackout chambered AR. 16 in barrel by Ron Williams and 3 position gas block by TP555. Worked good with a Magpul Pmag. Not so good with the surplus G.I. mag. Ran a few rounds with the gas shut off so I wasn't chasing brass. Didn't notice anything different until I got home and ran them thru the resizing die. The primers were flat. So note to self, be careful running supers with the gas off. Now I need to quit stalling and get some heavies and load up a bunch of subsonics.

I have been wanting to get some of those rounds I did get some of the bullets and loaded them up with H110 to 2400FPS and they have done well in my AR but I get flattened primers as well and I was curious if the Hornady factory load did as well. If they did not I was going to contact them to find out what powder they were using in there loads.

Be aware that the Remington 300BLK subs are not very accurate.

My gun prefers 208-amax at about 1025FPS, shoots very well.

I tried the round nose bullets, feed ramps didn't like them. Alter the least expensive thing first - I learned that the hard way.

Anyone want some 240 RN Hornady's?

What caliber does Hornady have load data for the 240 grain round noses? My older Hornady book doesn't even list them. Fortunately I have a couple of 30-06 and a 30-30 to also feed so I am not at a total loss if a particular bullet doesn't work in the Blackout. Odds are against me getting any factory Remington ammo as I doubt any of the stores up here in Alaska will be stocking it and shipping is outrageous. So I will be loading my own.

I have Hornady 8th edition printed 2010 and they do not list that bullet in there as well what are you looking for I do have load data for a 240 grain bullet though.

Not really. Was just wondering if there was an 06 load for the 240 gr. round nose if they weren't good .300 blk AR fodder. But right now I need to concentrate on getting subs loaded for the AR, if I need more 06 ammo I can buy it over the counter.
