Come on guys... what ya been buying...

I added a couple more knives to my collection this year... I just got a Mint Condition "patent pending" Phrobis M9 and I discovered that one of the LanCay knives I already have is one of the earliest 1st Contract Lancays as it has the bead blasted finish and the blade markings are just a little different then the other 1st generation Lancays I have.

I plan to get some pictures of some of my nicer knives and get them uploaded to our Photo gallery here:

I am still looking for good deals where I can find them to fill in my collection but as always finances are too tight to just buy anything I might like to buy.

Anybody else add some special pieces to your collectons this year? Anybody want to help me add to the Photo Gallery?

The past six months have been pretty slow, bayonet wise, that is. I've picked up four M9s since July. The first is a completely unmarked Lan-Cay in the current configuration that I picked up on ebay. Next was a special Lan-Cay Lite M9 with an aluminum alloy crossguard and tang rod. And just today I received my latest, a tan and a black Lan-Cay M9 from Sabre Defense Industries. They had a small lot made by Lan-Cay and they are stamped with Sabre's logo on the right ricasso.

I wish I had a digital camera to post some pictures...but I'm planning to buy one, so I'll be posting images of my M9s in the near future.
As for the 2005, the biggest "deal" for me, was the chevron #063, the one shown in the gallery forum...so no need to send pictures of it, anyway!
@ Quarterbore: I'd love to see the pictures of your LanCay first contract and these different markings profile!
As a footnote I would like to add that since I started collecting the M9 bayonet (which happened not really many years ago, in 2003) there had been a growing interest for them and.....a growing price to pay (on ebay) too!
Just the last week I won an ebay auction for a first contract LanCay with the fuller still on the blade.
The bayonet is VERY used (I would say a little bit ABUSED), but not that bad. It has, also, all the correct markings ("LanCay" on the blade, "LANCAY" on the scabbard, which has the stone), Fastex dated 92, pommell unmarked. The bayonet is only missing the wire cutter from the scabbard.
Well, I payed only 56 dollars for it, which I consider to be a very good price.
But the item was in Germany, not in the US (where most collectors live).
If the bayonet were on sale on ebay USA, I'm sure that the final price would have been at least double (if not more).
