On episode DWTT-103 of DYI's Woodturning Techniques, host Dave Hout shows a nifty thread cutting tool for a wood lathe. It had a micrometer feed mechanism located in place of the tailstock and a cutting wheel installed in the headstock. However, no mention was made the maker of where one could be purchased. I have never seen anything like it, so wonder if anyone else has? Odd to go into detail on how to use a tool and then not provide a source of supply.
A bit later.... I managed to look up Dave Hout and he graciously provided the following information on this tool. " The threading jig that I use is from Best Wood Tool. You can find them at: www.bestwoodtools.com or phone at 931-788-0429." The tool in question is BAXTER'S THREAD MASTER
Model BTM-12.5. Can't ask for better than that.
