Ok guys new question from a newbe. The overall length of my loads are 2.260. I was doing a little testing today and I noticed today that the bullet is engaging the lands to start with. How much clearance do I need to start with and how would you suggest I test to get the best OAL for my gun. I set a round in the action with a bullet extended out in the cast. Closed the bolt and checked the OAL of the round to find it to be 2.240 so looks like the OAL is to long. If my theory is not correct fell free to educate me. Thanks in advance

Send them 2 pieces of brass that have been fire formed from the intended rifle and they will tap it to use on the gauge.

The OAL length of many 300/WTF's has been less than 2.250" but this is mainly to accommodate the use of US GI magazines.
