---------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry This Group Buy is closed!!!

BUT Group Buy #2 is starting:

See: http://www.quarterbore.net/forums/showthread.php?t=592

---------------------------------------------------------------------

ORDER WAS RECEIVED!!!

I received the gauges today (Tues Nov 1, 2005) and everything is accounted for. I had one person that did not pay for a set of 5.45x39 gauges but I had a member that had asked to get a set of 5.45 gauges too late so that other member is taking them. I will ba packing the gauges tonight for shipping via USPS Priority mail in the morning.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

ORDER WAS PLACED!!!

The order was placed today (Friday Oct 14, 2005) based on the information below. For those that did not get me the payment yet please do so as soon as you can as my finances are tight at the moment and I am not making anything on this.

I will post updates as soon as I know anything but following is a complete list of what was ordered:

5.45x39 Gauges:

7 - Go gauges
7 - No Go gauges
1 - Field Gauge

7.62x39 Gauges

5 - Go gauges
5 - No Go gauges
1 - Field Gauge

I also ordered a couple gauges I needed myself including the 223 Go, Nogo, and field as well as the 308 field.

I will let everybody know when the gauges arive and I will buy packing materials and get everything ready for a quick send when I do get them.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Payments Needed ASAP:

We got the # required to get the discounted price! I need everybody on the list to Pay ASAP and I will place the order. The cost is as follows:

$26 Per Gauge you want (5.45 or 7.62x39) + $2 per person for shipping from the manufacturer + $5 for shipping from me.

So, depending on the # of gauges this is the amount owed:

1 - gauge - $33.00 + 3.5% paypal fee = $34.16
2 - gauges - $59.00 + 3.5% paypal fee = $61.07
3 - gauges - $85.00 + 3.5% paypal fee = $87.98
4 - gauges - $111.00 + 3.5% paypal fee = $114.89
5 - gauges - $137.00 + 3.5% paypal fee = $141.80
6 - gauges - $163.00 + 3.5% paypal fee = $168.71

I need the payment ASAP so that we can get this order placed on FRIDAY Oct 14th in order to get this price!!! After the 14th prices are going up! I will beg my wife to allow me to buy these on our credit card as there is no way we will be able to get the money received and out of Paypal in time to cover a payment via a debit card.

Please send the money with the paypal fees listed above via PayPal to "Quarterbore@Yahoo.com". Please remember to list the gages you are paying for and your handle here as well as the address I should send the gauges to after they are made and I get them.

If you can not pay via PayPal please let me know ASAP via IM here on the board... PLEASE MAKE MONEY ORDER PAYABLE TO "KENNETH WESTERVELT" Then send me a MO ASAP to:

Quarterbore Inc
PO Box 337
Phoenixville PA 19460

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I decided to get into 5.45x39 builds to late for me to join a group buy at Gunco.net but from my understandings if we are able to buy 12-or more gauges we can get a significant discount on the price...

The gauges we are talking about are headspace gauges from Dave Manson here:

http://www.mansonreamers.com/

The original group buy that I missed out on is here:

http://www.gunco.net/forums/showthread.php?t=12402

I am limiting this to 5.45x39 at this time as 5.45x39 is the gauges that most of are having the most trouble finding. If we buy the gauges as a special order item the standard cost is $48 per gauge. If we are able to buy 12 or more on one order the price drops to $26/each.

The quantity of 12 can be a mixture of GO - NoGo - Field gauges.

This is only tenative at this point but please post below if you would be interested... Please include which gauges you would want to buy and how you would be paying me in advance. I need to work out the actual costs but the price will be as follows...

Costs

Actual cost of the gauges + shipping costs to get them to me divided by number of gauges we buy + $3.85 for Priority mail shipping from me to you.

Payment Options

Paypal (if you pay the fees)
Money Order
(sorry NO CHECKS - one too many bad checks lately)

Here is the Tenative List (assuming this works out)!

Guys, my personal life is a huge mess at this time... I doubt we will get enough committed people before the price increase and I was tight before this problem but not it is worse... If you want this tohappen, please help me promote the offer elsewhere. My computer time has been limited and it may stay limited for a while... I don't want the details posted here if anybody knows the details please... I can easily be ID'd from this site and I don't want people knocking on my door if you know the story...

I will share the story soon and I have shared elsewhere but in a controled way... sorry I can't be more specific.... please nobody post links!

Everybody on the list should have got an e-mail from me requesting payment! If anybody else wants in please sign up below and pay IMMEDIATELY via PAYPAL only! I will be closing this group buy on Thursday night so that I can evaluate my totals and figure out how I am going to place the order. The order will be placed on Friday morning.

Sorry for being so hands off on this buy... We will do another group buy soon for those that are not quite ready this time especially for the 5.45x39 gauges as those are a custom manufacture job so unless they are ordered in groups of 12-or more they are pretty expensive.

5.45x39 go and no/go

I held off on the 7.62x39 because after reading up on the Gunco link above, they are a stock item and I can buy them at any time at the $26.00 price. I hope I did'nt screw up the order if it is a problem let me know and I will send another payment. Thanks.

ok, now I am confused? should I still send the money? And if I do, when will the gauges be ordered? Did you say you are NOT going to order 7.62, so people whop want 7.62 should wait? OR, are ou saysing, no more orders, and the people who ordered 7.62 will still be able to send money and get gauge?

As I said on ARFCOM... the people on the list as well as the few people that had e-mailed indicating they want on the list need to POST HERE and get their payments in.... If you are on the list my understanding is you want me to buy your gauges. If you want off the list I need you to let me know ASAP or at least before Friday as I will be placing the order Friday Morning!

I am closing this group buy to ADDITIONAL PEOPLE!

Now, the 7.62x39 gauges can be purchased directly from the manufacturer for $26/ea... (Or so that is my understanding - need to call today and verify)... the savings was for the 5.45x39 gauges that are normally $48/ea but $26 with an order of 12 or more gauges....

If anybody wants off the list for the 7.62x39 gauges that is fine but I need to know before I order. We need the people that wanted the 5.45-gauges to stay aboard for the lower price on those gauges (at least for an order of 12 or more.

Thanks that does help... it's not that I wouldn't order but 7.62x39 gauges ARE $26/ea UNTIL FIRDAY and guys can order them direct here:

http://www.mansonreamers.com/

The prices are expected to go up about $3/gauge effective Saturday Oct 15th (Hence the reason we are placing the order the 14th!!!

The original purpose of this thread was for 5.45x39 gauges and those are $48/ea unless we by more then 12... then we get them for $26/ea.

For those that did not pay yet for their 7.62x39 gauges I would welcome you to order those directly if possible but if you already paid or want to pay that is fine and I will order them on my dimes.

Sorry for all the confusion... for those that may not know my Brother was shot this past week and his wife and son kidnapped. My brother's wounds are getting better, their son seems to be doing fine, but my sister-in-law is in prety bad shape from jumping from a moving mini van at highway speeds to get away from the assailants. I am trying to get back into my own routeen but I was out with my brother all of last week so I was not able to really manage this group buy so well... I hope to be better about this next time and we will do another if people still need the 5.45x39 gauges or perhaps even some other custom gauges. I just needed to close ths one for the curent price and to do so in a way that will not break my budget as I have spent a small fortune last week between gas, food, and giving my brother some money to help him get by....

I sent an e-mail to bigsexy408 and Bloodsport2885 to confirm if they were buying their own gauges directly or to advise when they will be sending their money...

If anybody else sent me money and you didn't post you need to POST NOW!!! I will print out the Paypal payment slips and include the people in the first post that indicated they were sending a money order but any unexpected money orders will be returned.

Guys, my credit card was charged for the gauges so I hope this means they will be shipping soon.

I still need a payment from cruzie27... You have 2-days to pay or I am going to have someone else buy your gauges. Sorry buddy but you said you would be sending your payment Oct 14th... that is 17-days ago now!

I just got a package from the Big Brown Truck and the gauges look good! I need to count them all and make sure we got everything and then I will be sending them out.

Quarterbore
11-01-2005, 05:22 PM
I have counted the gauges and we have them all. All gauges are packed and those that paid via paypal should have received a notice from Paypal that I have purchased the shipping for the jigs. Those that paid via a money order I will be sending with just a priority mail stamp as I do not know when I can get into the post office.

All gauges will be in the mail tomorrow! Thanks to everybody that paid on time to make this happen.

EDIT: I just ran all the numbers and after all th ecosts associated with ordering the gauges, shipping from the manufacturer, paypal fees, postage to ship the gauges out I cleared $39 profit which works out to be just over $1/gauge. I will use the money to pay for this month's hosting of the forums. Just wanted to share in case anybody was curious.
