Pretty cool. You really couldn't ask for better results than that. Only problem for me is; they wouldn't stabilize in my picky a$$ barrel. If I had a rifle that would work with them, I would for sure get some of those for hunting.

Hey Alleycat how is the functionality of this new Outlaw bullet. Did you have to do anything tricky to make it run.

Does Outlaw publish G1 and or G7 ballistic coefficients for those?

The bullets I got are samples and are geared toward AR users. Some ARs don't like running a round nose style bullet without a little modification to the barrel extension. A lot of people don't want to do that. I have a 16" 300 Whisper and a 10.5 300 Blackout. The Whisper has been modified. The Blackout has not. Both run the new style bullet without a hitch. They feed without marring up the tip. I shot one into the news print next to a 208 A-Max. I took pics every 2 to 3 inches to show the progress of the expansion. If any ones interested I'll put them up.
There are no BC data. I have a buddy that owns the same chronograph I do. If I get a chance in the next month I'll try to set them both up and get a BC. I don't know how accurate it will be, but we'll give it a shot. In subsonic hunting It may not matter that much, but would be a very explosive supersonic bullet.
I think the 220s are going to be a go. The 250s I'm not sure about. I shot the 220s out to 200yds in the blackout and I had nice round holes. The 250s shot into 1.25 @ 100yds, but had tail drag. In the 16" Whisper about 60 percent had round holes. 1 in 8 is not quite enough for the 250s. 1 in 6.5 on the other hand could be the ticket.
They haven't set a price or a release date yet.

My AR doesn't like the original 225gr bullet so I would love to give these a try. I would also like to see the photos of the progression of expansion.

220 Outlaw on top. 208 A-Max on the bottom. The first shot is about 1 inch in. Every pic after is between 2 and 3 inches. All Outlaws showed expansion within the first inch and a half to two inches and came to rest backwards some were between 13 and 14 inches. The A-Max continued sideways until they hit the steel backer.

The 225 Outlaws shoot very well out my Encore 26 inch SSK barrel. I have only loaded subsonic as close to 1050 as I can get. The deer I have shot have all been close under 50 yard shots. I looks like they are expanding and did make jello out the chest. Unfortunately I was unable to recover the bullets. So far, no run offs, everything has died within 50 yards on a lung shot and drop dead when put through the heart. I am happy to see Outlaw expanding their product line. Mighty nice folks. First 50 bullets I bought I never had a chance to load and he sent me 50 more no charge saying to use the first 50 for load development as he was not satisfied with their expansion at subsonic velocities. Is that customer service or what. I want to try some of those new designs. Thank you very much for the post.

I was able to shoot some Outlaw 220's into calibrated gel last week and they came out looking just like these. The front sub-cores shed at about 6" and the body went about 20. These were at about 1046 FPS. A step in the right direction for sure.

Outlaw on top. A-Max on the bottom. The first pic is about 2" in and every pic after is 2 to 3 inches at a time
