need info on a bayonet marked buck 188\ tkere is no other markings on it,i do know it came from the airforce,and was made 1994,the blade is black and the sheath o d green with pouch and sharping stone, wire cuter and is marked buck. just wondering how many were sent to the usaf,and any other info:confused:

I'm not aware of any M9s that went to the Air Force. You bayonet sounds to me like a 1994 Buck commercial M9.

the bayonet [i have 2 of them] came directly to me from afriend who retired from the usaf after 20 years:smile:

Ill see if i can find one. From what i remember, it looked just like the one i got while with the SEABEES.

That doesn't mean the AF didn't buy any. AF units are free to procure with their credit cards as they see fit. I bought$ 2.1M of gear in 2001 without ever signing a contract.

Rumlover is correct. I worked USAF Security mobility and we purchased several Buck 188\bayonet in 1996. It was direct purchase by the unit I was in.
