I am looking for some load data to get me off my feet running.

I need it to be cycling a 10" AR15 SBR barrel(pistol port). Got a group coming in town that want to see what the 300 Whisper is all about, don't want to look like a fool and don't have a ton of time to develop my own perfect loads, just gotta show it working.

It will also be fed into a 18" LW Savage bolt gun(have loads for this but don't know if it will cycle the AR or not).

I need to keep the 200gr subsonics, and I know the 130 and 147 will be supersonic!

Bullet Weights:
200gr Sierra SP
130gr Speer HP
147gr surplus FMJ

I have the following powder in my cabinet.

Vity N110
AA No. 9
Titegroup
TrailBoss
H110

Can get others on short notice if its a sweet load that def cycles!

Thanks all!

OK, Win 296 is the same a 110 and Lilgun is close. Here is what I have used. Win 296is 10gr. and Lil Gun is 9.2. You can look up Sierra load data and it starts with 1100 with different powders.

9.9 grs of VV N110 and a 240 works good in mine. You could adjust accordingly for the 200 gr bullets.

I like a 180gr Hornady btsp over 10.5 gr of 1680. I am shooting a 16" schillen barrel on an AR with .116" gasport and a rifle buffer &spring Buffer has been lightened to around 1200gr for it shoots great cycles like a champ with Magpul mag.....shoots +/- 3/4 moa!

good luck.

There is no reason you can't make 147gr subsonics. Just takes a different powder. I have subsonic loads for 150gr bullets using H4227 and H322 that will cycle and AR.

As for 200gr subsonics, 9.9gr W296 works well in a 10" barrel.

How would you adjust it for 200 gr? You would decrease the powder right? Just do it slowly and watch the brass?

I got mine to cycle 175s today over 7.7 of AA#9 out of my 10.5" 1x8 with pistol gas port. Thats with an SA carrier and standard carbine buffer. Velocity was in the 960s so plan to bump it up a bit.

OK, took it out and ran it over the chrono and 10.2gr of H110 gave low 1200fps, in order to get it to be subsonic and cycle I went as low as 9.1gr of H110 to be at 1000fps.

This is with the 10" barrel and a pistol gas port.

To get it to cycle I had to use a SA bolt carrier and a regular buffer.

Now to continue the load dev with 110gr, 130gr, 147gr, and 175gr to find out what I like and don't like.

Between 10.0 and 9.5gr all chrono'd the same speed, seems weird to me, all within 25fps range!
