I resized Remington 300 AAC BLACKOUT cases with each of the following dies, and then put a metric pin gauge in each, to see the largest pin that would fit. The goal being to see which dies resized the cases to the optimal inside diameter for ideal bullet pull without over-working the brass.

Forster had the benefit of having both the factory drawings and factory fired and unfired 300 AAC BLACKOUT brass - and so they knew the neck-wall thickness.

Results:

Forster 300 AAC BLACKOUT die: 7.76mm (0.3055 inches inside diameter)

Reading 30-221 die: 7.74mm (0.3047 inches inside diameter)

Hornady 300 Whisper(R) die: 7.58mm (0.2984 inches inside diameter)

tried looking up the part numbers on the Forester website and got nothing. Any idea when they will be selling the dies?

How about the Remington brass? Fall/Winter/with the mythical, square, AAC 45 can?

The only way I can get extra brass made is to have less loaded ammo produced. I can't do that until the market demands of the loaded ammo is satisfied.

Forster said a few weeks more for the dies.

Sweet on the Forester...copy on the brass. Is that something a writing campaign to Remington could solve?

Has the 300 BLK dimensions been posted anywhere? I've got a PacNor barrel Spook cut and I'd like to compare the 300 BLK to the brass and see if they are comparable.

No, the tooling only lasts so many hundred thousand rounds. If they make extra cases, there is not enough tooling to make enough loaded ammo. More tooling is on order, enough to make the next few million rounds. Tooling has lead times.

Ah. Are the loaded offerings going to be sold directly from Remington, through AAC, other distributors, or some combination there of?

It is seeming like nearly all of the commercial ammo is going to by sold by distributors and military ammo is going to be sold from AAC.

Good to hear. We are waiting on the Forster die availability so we can switch from the Fireball version to the Blackout. Initial offering will be reformed remanufactured from .223/5.56 brass until Remington makes brass available to the public. Then we will offer new brass ammo and our reformed remanufactured ammo will be available for a lower price.
