I have been dreaming of a whisper build for my SBR for awhile now.. and recently just got this 16 inch barrel I wanted to cut down to 10 inches..

I noticed that the cuts for the origininal gasblock would force me to cut this barrel down to 8 inches for an SBR build.. does anyone run an 8 inch build with a pistol length gas system reliably? I have an adjustable gas block....or should I start over and get a different barrel..

as always I appreciate your time if you respond.. thx

To short to run without moving the gas port back some. Here is a thread with some info about it.

He has a carbine gas port so it'd have to be completely moved.

I can make you a custom gas system that would work at 8" if you'd like. I can't re-finish the barrel though(black). PM me if you are interested and I can figure out some numbers.

Thanks,
Jon

Just bought a 8" from spook, stuck it together last night and awaiting a scope before i shoot. I belive he had to move the port back 1" farther that a pistol system
